CIRCUMCISION |
|
Accomplishes
The aim of the procedure
is to permanently expose the glans penis.
How
The procedure involves dissection of the foreskin
to uncover the glans. Time
The procedure takes about half an hour in the
operating theatre, usually under local anaesthetic
and as a day case. Swelling
/ Bruising
This varies but yes, following your operation
you will have some swelling. After three to five
days this swelling disappears. Minimal bruising.
Scarring
There will be a small scar of approximately one
quarter of an inch to half an inch where the incision
was made behind the glans. Recovery
The decision about when to return to work and
resume normal activities depends on how fast you
heal and how well you feel. As a general guide
it is usual for clients to return to work after
approximately 24 hours. |
